Why is Pregnancy and Postpartum Training so important?

I hear so many people speaking on the toxicity of "Bounce Back Culture" in our society today. Whilst I 100% agree the element of rest and being kind to our bodies during pregnancy and postpartum are so important, keeping and building our strength is equally important and that element is often lost. Everything happening to our bodies leading up to birth and postpartum leads to "The PostPartum Dip' in strength, but for a lot of women this isn't just a dip it's the start of a decline in strength they will not pull back. Skeletal muscle loss starts in women around age 30 which also happens to be around the average age women have their last baby. Women who don't rebuild their strength postpartum and also reach a crossover where their muscle starts depleting naturally, will start to see the consequences in weakness, aches, pain and more serious issues as time goes on- even just completing day to day tasks. You will not come out of this "PostPartum Dip" naturally, nor will you cope against muscle loss from age 30 even without children if you do not counter and rebuild with strength training. So no I'm not being superficial when I say all women should strength train safely through their pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood- I'm saying us women need to rebuild and come back stronger than ever in this time so we live a long healthy pain free life chasing our kids around and don't let this be the crossroads where we decline for the rest of our lives.
